Biography of Gilles
1950: Birth of Gilles Villeneuve.
1953: Birth of his brother Jacques in 1953.
1971: Birth of his son Jacques.
1972: Started on snowmobiles, Gilles joined the Moto-ski team.
1973: Obtaining the title best rookie and obtaining the title champion of Quebec.
1974: Wins the snowmobile world championship and debuts in Formula Atlantic.
1975: Earns his first career victory in Gimli, Manitoba.
1976: Wins nine victories in ten events in Formula Atlantic, obtaining the Canadian and American title.
1977: First Formula 1 race at Silverstone, Great Britain. Second title obtained in Formula Atlantic and signing for the prestigious Ferrari team.
1978: First victory in Formula 1, at the Canadian Grand Prix.
